Thank You for Your Service

Someone can walk in front of me with a U.S. flag and I get all teary eyed. The church service this morning at FBC Rockwall was wonderful. Two uniformed soldiers presented the colors, we sang the "Star-Spangled Banner", the choir did a beautiful version of "Battle Hymn of the Republic." The pastor preached on "God, Government or Goods: Where is Your Faith?" Then during the offering, they played a video of this mom and son writing letters to each other during a war and the effect it had on both, finally showing the son coming back home to mom. There wasn't a dry eye in the place.

If you have served our country through military service in any way, thank you. Because of your service, we can worship, work and love like we can in the United States. You are appreciated!
