Fun Fellowship

We went to supper with our new friends, Lee & Karen Carpenter, tonight at a deli. We sat there and ate and talked for almost 1 1/2 hours. Karen then asked if we drank decaf coffee and invited us to their home to visit some more. Lee & Karen pastored a church in Mesquite for 31 years up until 2 years ago when Lee retired. They live on our one mile walking path and he is now the senior adult minister at Firewheel Baptist Church. There was a lot to discover about each other. We drank coffee and visited until about 9:45. Before leaving, Lee led us in a word of prayer. We got to meet Barkley, their poodle. It was a neat night. Thank you, Sandy, for placing us in the pathway to meet Lee & Karen!
